We have just finished making some oak doorknobs and excutcheons (keyhole covers) to match the original doorknobs for a private house renovation in Dublin. The picture below shows one of the refurbished original doorknobs (centre) with plain and reeded new knobs either side. Only three of the original doorknobs had survived and these were restored. We are just about to start reproducing cast iron balusters for an extension to a Georgian curved stairs. We are reproducing replacements for missing originals and also producing new baluster for the extension to the stairs all of which will be extended to meet current building regulations for stairs. We have recently supplied refurbished original cast iron radiators for a client. The radiators were painted in the client's choice of colours (Farrow and Ball Pointing and black). Working with the main contractor, architect and home owner we matched the heat requirements, radiator sizes and lengths for each room in the house with a number of radiators altered in length to fit into tight spaces and to take into account the home owner's furniture.
